Not a huge fan? I think he's just about the best out there, because he combines everything: geeky, romantic, observant. =) The best ones ever: the 'hobbies' series (http://xkcd.com/236/) and this one http://xkcd.com/150/
he's got a lot of talent but i like a hefty chunk of cynicism in my comics, like Cyaninde and Happiness or Rocky
